MidiHere I will describe how to import midi to LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio, which also runs on Windows and can be downloaded for free).

It has a few pitfalls that you have to consider:

1) the best way is: You have already configured the right SoundFont file. So that the instruments are correctly linked. And then you'll hear something when you play.

2) the correct MDI file. Not every midi file format is imported clean.

3) the channel 10 must be switched to drums. Otherwise you have a piano instead of drums.
